Ok, so here's the story behind the name: My favorite literature character is Moiraine from Wheel of Time. I always thought it a pretty, if weird, name because it's French (moi) and English (rain) combined. So one day I cracked a joke about how her name in English is actually Meraine. The "and" part was just a late night inspiration. So, basically, meandraine is a play off of Moiraine.

The domain was bought in September of 2003. It was hosted on a good host turned bad for about six months. In the last days of February of 2004 meandraine.net found a new home on Ion-Web. Great company! In the fall of 2006 I moved to A Small Orange. So happy!

Layout

This layout is number eleven (maybe). The image in the background is a stock image of a lime. Pretty lime.
